A logo has a job to do

It has to be readable on the side of a van doing 40mph, stitched onto a polo shirt, printed on a card the size of a beer mat, and sharp on a phone screen. Most logos that look clever in a presentation fail at least two of those.

So I start from where yours has to work, and design back from there. Simple, bold, and yours — the kind of mark people remember and, more usefully, recognise the second time they see it.

Already have a logo?

You may not need a new one. Plenty of perfectly good logos just need tidying up — a proper vector version, a variant that works on dark backgrounds, or the files the last designer never handed over.
